Here’s another thing: The other day Idiot Sister and I were having a fight, where she was trying
to prove that her 6th grade intelligence was higher than my 9th grade one. When it became obvious that
the argument wasn’t going to hold up, she went for the old sucker-punch: “I have more friends than you.”
So? Why should this matter? I have about six really good friends. We know everything about each other,
and have been best friends for something like for years now. All of us.
And this is somehow less attractive than knowing the name, phone number, and not much else of a hundred
people, who could technically be labeled ‘friends’?
I don’t think so.
And another thing about this. Why is it that knowing or being friends with people online is such a
horrible thing? People think that if you are friends with people from online you’re a geek or a loser or something.
Why? Are people online somehow less human that people who go to your school?
A lot of times, it’s easier to find friends online, like in clubs and such. There’s about
three people at my school who like JHTM, but online there’s hundreds I can talk to.
I have friends I haven’t met face to face, and they’re better people than something like
80% of the people I am forced to be in contact with on a daily basis.
So here’s a shoutout to Raven, Karvian, TFL, QOTSAfreak, and everybody in RoTE.
We kick ass.
