Oh my God is not a curse

I saw something amazing the other day and said “oh, my god” My mother immediately jumped in with a correction of “gosh.”

This got me thinking. If omg is a curse, actually intended to call god, or whatever,

A: No real religious people would use it, because it’s a curse and

B: No atheists/ agnostics would use it, because there’s no god to invoke

So, If Oh my God is a curse, it would not exist, because there would be no reason to use it.

Therefore, since it does exist, it must not be a curse.
