Okay, getting into a feild which is pretty much dominated by Japanese, I was at a pronounced, if not considerable disadvantage,
so I dug up these bits of lingo/ names to help those of you who come later.
Here’s some basic words that you might want to know when dealing with Inuyasha or just basic anime.
For general words/ pronunciations, go here: http://www.genkienglish.net/genkijapan/japanese.htm
Anime: Manga style drawing that is animated.
Bishonen: “beautiful boy” or basicly guys that at first glance look like women. (Sesshoumaru, cough cough)
Chichi-ue: Father. (According to Sess. Inuyasha says Oyaji, or Otou-san) Inu-papa.
Dub: Short for dubbing, which is when the Japanese words are taken out of the animation and replaced with English (or
whatever) translations.
Ecchi: Rated R for sexuality
Fanart: like fan fiction, only it’s drawings/paintings and such.
Fanfiction: Writing stories involving characters from other stories/movies etc.

speak languages as well as everybody else. (sarcasm)

OOC: stands for out of character, and is used when describing fanfiction. (if a character is poorly written it is usually
described as OOC) Example is something like Inuyasha suddenly deciding to join the Peace Corps or something.
